Private Tour Masca - Garachico - Teide

An unforgettable journey through Tenerife's most impressive and contrasting landscapes.

Nature, history and volcanoes in a single day

From the cliffs of Teno Rural Park to the crater of the Samara Volcano, passing through the historic beauty of Garachico and the lunar landscapes of Teide National Park, this full-day tour shows you the diversity and magic of the island like no other.

Masca, Carrizales and the charm of the rural north

We begin the route heading west to visit Masca, one of Tenerife's most picturesque villages, nestled in the mountains of Teno Rural Park. Here you can stroll through its cobblestone streets, enjoy the tranquility of the surroundings, and enjoy a coffee next to the local church, under the shade of a hundred-year-old ficus tree.

We continue toward Los Carrizales, where we take a short walk through a seldom-visited rural area, and then ascend along panoramic roads with spectacular views until we reach the northern slope, where traditional crop fields accompany us along the journey.

Garachico: living history under the lava

Our next stop is Garachico, a town that rose from the ashes after being destroyed by the eruption of the Negro Volcano in 1706. Today, it's one of the island's most charming towns, with a historical heritage that includes:

  • The Castle of San Miguel
  • The Church of Saint Anne
  • A park with a century-old wine press

An ideal stop to discover the history and resilience of northern Tenerife.

Towards the volcanic heart of Tenerife

After Garachico, we ascend through the south of the island and stop at the Chirche viewpoint, ideal for taking photos with open views of the ocean and the mountainous interior.

From there, we visit an impressive 500-year-old lava flow from the Boca Cangrejo volcano, with panoramic views of La Gomera. We continue to Teide National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Teide National Park: volcanoes, rocks, and otherworldly landscapes

Inside the park, we'll stop to hike to the Samara Volcano crater, an easily accessible trail where you'll feel the volcanic energy beneath your feet. We'll also pass by the imposing Pico Viejo, with a lava field of over 5 km² formed just over 200 years ago.

We'll arrive at the heart of the park, home to the famous Roques de García, one of Tenerife's most iconic landscapes. Here, you'll have time to take photos, visit the souvenir shop, and enjoy a coffee at the Parador Nacional del Teide.

The return: viewpoints, pine forests and vineyards

On our way back south, we'll make one last stop at a viewpoint overlooking several volcanic cones and the majestic Canary Island pine forest.

Our last stop is in the village of Vilaflor, home to the imposing Pino Gordo, the largest and oldest on the island. Finally, we cross the Abona wine region before returning comfortably to your accommodation.
