Private Tour Masca & Garachico

Delve into the most authentic and picturesque corners of the island

Discover the historical and natural soul of northwest Tenerife

This tour takes you through charming villages, volcanic landscapes, hidden valleys, and centuries-old legends. From the remote beauty of Masca to the resilient history of Garachico, you'll experience a journey steeped in Canarian culture, nature, and tradition.

Masca: a hidden treasure among the mountains

Our adventure begins northwest of Tenerife, heading toward Teno Rural Park, home to one of the island's most beautiful and remote villages: Masca.

This ancient settlement nestled between mountains and ravines looks like something out of a fairy tale. You'll have time to explore the surroundings, take panoramic photos, and enjoy a local coffee in front of the church, under the shade of a majestic, centuries-old ficus tree.

Carrizales and the path to the northern slope

We continue on to the nearby town of Los Carrizales, ideal for stretching your legs with a short walk and discovering another rural enclave far from mass tourism.

From there, we embark on a spectacular journey along mountain roads, crossing rugged, verdant landscapes, until we reach the northern part of the island, where cultivated fields and agricultural terraces dominate the landscape.

Garachico: history, lava and Canarian tradition

Our next stop is Garachico, a town that rose from the ashes after the eruption of the Negro Volcano in 1706. We'll stroll through its charming historic center, declared a Site of Cultural Interest, and visit iconic sites such as:

  • San Miguel Castle, by the ocean
  • The Church of Santa Ana, from the 16th century
  • The park where a traditional wine press is preserved

Here you can feel the power of history while immersing yourself in its peaceful and colorful atmosphere.

Panoramic return between viewpoints and laurel forest

On the way south, we'll make one last photo stop at an altitude of over 500 meters, where you can admire panoramic views of the north of the island, including the verdant El Palmar Valley.

We'll then cross the Erjos laurel forest, one of the oldest and wettest ecosystems in the Canary Islands, before returning comfortably to your accommodation.
