Private Tour of the Northern Terraces - Around the Island
A cultural and scenic route that runs through northern Tenerife, amidst history, gardens, wines, and spectacular viewpoints.
The northern terraces and the return to the island
Discover traditional agricultural terraces, historic villages, and unique views of the Atlantic as you tour the island in a comfortable and personalized way.

Candelaria and the Guanche legacy
We begin the tour in the city of Candelaria, a spiritual and cultural landmark in the Canary Islands.
There we visited its emblematic Basilica of the Black Virgin, patron saint of the archipelago, and the promenade where the statues of the ancient Guanche menceyes are located, facing a beach of volcanic lava.
El Sauzal and the northern terraces
We pass through La Laguna, the island's former capital, heading north through the wine-producing region. Our next stop is El Sauzal, a charming village with spectacular views of traditional agricultural terraces, historically used for the cultivation and export of tropical fruits, sugarcane, and tomatoes.
In Parque de los Lavaderos, we enjoy a short stroll through gardens and historic canals, and stop to enjoy a "barraquito," the island's famous coffee, on a terrace overlooking the sea.

Humboldt and La Orotava: nature and architecture
We continue to the Humboldt Lookout, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the Orotava Valley, an agricultural and natural paradise.
Later, we explore the historic center of La Orotava, one of Tenerife's most beautiful towns. There, we'll enjoy a free lunch and time to explore its highlights, such as Victoria Park, the botanical garden, and the majestic colonial-style town hall.
Icod de los Vinos and the ancient dragon tree
We continue the route to Icod de los Vinos, where we take a photo break in front of the legendary Drago Milenario, a natural symbol of the island with more than 800 years of history.
We also enjoyed a free tasting of local products such as wines and prickly pear jam, typical of the area.

Garachico and return to the south
Before returning, we make one last stop at the Garachico viewpoint, overlooking the town that was devastated by lava in 1706 and rebuilt on volcanic rock.
From here, we take the road back south, passing through changing and tranquil landscapes, until we reach your accommodation again.
